Missions Projects

Missions is God’s plan for the whole world to hear the good news of the gospel. God has a missionary heart! He calls us to join him in the mission of making His name known among the nations. Missions is the activity of the local church to accomplish the Great Commission by spreading the gospel, making disciples, and planting churches across the world.

A strategic partner has a multiplying ministry; one that is developing disciples who are planting churches that plant churches. Midway has a special relationship with our strategic partners by helping them with large projects and visiting them in their country.

Nicaragua / East Africa

Sandy & Karen help lead New Hope Initiative which is a faith-based, non-profit organization that desires to bring real positive change to some of the poorest communities in the world. They do this by a multi-faceted approach of nutritional, educational, economic, and spiritual assistance.

Mitch and Beth Calmes

Kenya

Mitch and Beth are missionaries to Tanzania and are doing amazing things there! Mitch has pastored a community church in Dar es Salaam and Beth owns and operates a very successful ministry driven clothing company called Sifa Threads. They both currently serve in Kenya.

Trailhead International

Brian and Rachel Weed started Familia Avance Nicaragua which ranges from church planting to feeding centers, sports outreach programs, teen outreach programs, Rancho Nicaragua, a Christian school, seminary, and a medical clinic. Brian and Rachel now lead Trailhead International which is an organization that raises funds to build churches/community center facilities, develop sports centers for at-risk youth, and provide rapid food relief in developing nations.

Max & Jennifer Kennedy

Nicaragua

Max and Jennifer Kennedy surrendered to full time missions in 2014 after pastoring for 23 years in the U.S. Max and Jennifer help by planting churches that plant churches. They both work with national pastors to plant indigenous churches all over Nicaragua. They also train those pastors to duplicate their ministries by planting new churches in other communities. They are currently launching a new church in Esteli, Nicaragua.
