Kids Ministry at Midway
At Midway Church our kids (Kindergarten through 5th grade)experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.
We would love to see you and your family visit Midway Kidz.
Your First Visit
Here's what to expect when
visiting Midway Kidz for the first time:
First, find the Guest Desk area marked for first-time families. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children
How Check-in Works
Before Service: You can check-in your child at the available kiosk. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.
After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will text or call your cell phone. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.
When: Sunday Mornings 9:30am-10:30am
What: We are currently going through "What's in the Bible," a curriculum that goes from Genesis to Revelation. Midway Kidz learn about each book and the contents of each book in a fun and exciting way that is designed to connect with kids in many different ways.
"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
When: Sunday Mornings 11:00am-12:00pm
What: Kidz Worship strives to mimic "Big Church" with worship time and teaching. Additionally, they meet with a small group and discuss application of the lesson and have an activity to tie it together. We also have a Missions Moment as well as Memory Verse time during the hour.
Why: Our great God is worthy of worship! In a service specifically geared to kids, your child can learn what worship is all about as well as learn to apply God's truth to their lives with the guidance of a Kidz Leader.
"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24
Midway Kidz Inside-Out (Wednesday Nights)
When: Wednesday evenings (during the school year), 6:30pm-8:00pm
What: A time to encourage Midway Kidz to desire God's word, inside and out! We learn a Bible story and discuss it as a group, as well as learn how to take God's word out into the world through missions. And we have fun games, of course!
Why: We want to equip and inspire kids to take the Gospel out into the world. We equip them through Bible stories and inspire them through stories of missionaries and the world they are reaching for Christ.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
